Working for Brewster in Banff gives me some sweet free trips on my days off. Today I took a trip to Lake Louise and the Columbian Icefields, it was so beautiful! I saw 2 grizzly bears and 2 black bears along with some unreal scenery. Photos just don’t do the rockies justice!

If you’re ever in or around Wakefield and looking for a beautiful rustic café and bistro, Café Chez Eric is the place to be. Chez Eric is a beautiful gem just off the main street, lit with paper lanterns, accompanied by a cozy outdoor patio and creek running along side. Oh, and their food is pretty darn good as well.

Last night I had the honour to brave the snow and head out to Wakefield with Isaac Rendell of Lyndon’s Frozen Lake.

It was a beautiful snowy night with even more beautiful music by Lyndon’s Frozen Lake , Owen Steel, and Pat Lepoidevin.

I recently bundled up and headed out to the ice beside my house to photograph the ice fishing community of my town. I’ve never felt so Canadian. Ice fishing, snow mobiles, kids shovelling off the rinks to play a game of hockey while their parents catch some fish, and the delicious smell of poutine in the air. I’ve gotta say, I’m pretty proud to be a Canadian.

almonte riverside inn& kitchen

Today I had the pleasure of heading out to the quaint town of Almonte, ON to photograph the delicious food prepared by chef extraordinaire; Trisha Donaldson.

This was my first on location food shoot. Not only was it a riot but my assistant and I got to eat everything in the photos afterwards AND scored a free nights stay! (happy valentines day mom and dad.)
